  • Elimination Communication at 3–6 Months
Between 3–6 months, elimination communication often includes clearer observation of pauses and fuss cues, continued timing after feeds, and preparation for sitting on a potty as core strength grows.
Stillness, sudden quiet, or a pause mid-play can mean pee is coming. Offer earlier rather than waiting for a full fuss.
As sitting emerges, introduce short supervised potty sits alongside holds. Same cue, calmer offers.
Part-time windows still count — mornings or after feeds alone can keep communication going. See part-time EC.
