  • Elimination Communication at 0–3 Months
At 0–3 months, elimination communication uses frequent timing offers after feeds and sleeps, simple holds, a consistent cue, and nappy backup while you learn your baby’s rhythm.
Expect many pees. Catch what you can; shrug misses. Log a few days if it helps you spot windows — apps are optional, observation is enough.
Night offers are optional. Protect sleep first; daytime practice still builds skill.
Compare newborn holds with this window in our newborn EC guide and cues guide.
